Starting anything “now” can be scary and exciting and can leave you with so many unanswered questions you’ll feel nothing remotely close to prepared. With your face to the wind, “now” can have you free falling through your leap of faith and wondering where you’ll land.

When you’ve found yourself falling into “Now Mode”and questions are surfacing at lightening speed, resist the urge to stop in your tracks. The answers don’t come all at once and some of the most frightening questions are the ones that make you wonder if you’ll have what you need to win: Time and resources? Patience to see it through? The discipline to be consistent when you can’t see the results you’re looking for? The motivation and money to turn the corner to profitability? One can only hope the answers come quick enough and that the excitement (and overthinking) required to envision the future, doesn’t leave any space for you to lose sight of the power in NOW.

In order to stay present it’s important to get a firm grip on what’s important now and what can wait for later. Think of the simplest version of your business, or your key operating needs and put your focus there. You’ll still spend time preparing to manage and operate your big idea without feeling weighed down by the needs of the biggest version of your plan. Letting go the need of perfection will allow you to take advantage of moving now, and remove the bells and whistles you might think need to be in place to come out swinging, as an experienced brand.

In The Plot Business Plan template, your Operational Strategy is where you’ll find the power to define what’s important to launch a business and make decisions at every stage of the game that support the ultimate goals and vision of your business. Whether you’re an entrepreneur, a visionary. a founder or a 9 to 5’er you’ll always want to make good use of your time - not putting off the launch or elevation of your legacy for later.
